RDC XII or the Regional Development Council in Region XII
held its annual RDC Week celebration on September 27, 28 and 29, 2011 in
Koronadal City, Philippines. This event was participated in by members of
the Council: the heads and staffs of various government agencies and local
government units, as well as the private sector representatives. The
celebration was comprised of a motorcade, tree planting, opening ceremony with
executive games, friendship games, peoples day (employment, medical, legal
services and driving seminar) and closing/cultural/awarding ceremony, all
centered on the theme: “Kilos Abante Rehiyon Dose: Tao, Sentro ng
Plano”.

Right after the tree planting, the participants went to
the Regional Government Center, Koronadal City where the Opening Program was
held at the frontage of the Department of Education (DepEd) Building (One of
the few regional government agencies which was able to establish its own office
building here in Koronadal City). The program was graced by the RDC
Chair, Co-Chair, the Mayor of Koronadal City and hosted by the DepEd.
Each Committee was formally introduced, namely: Infrastructure and Utilities
Development Committee (InfraCom) – Blue Team; Economic Development Committee
(EDC) – Green Team; Macro-Economy, Development Administration and Finance
Committee (MEDAFC) – Yellow Team; and, the Regional Social Development
Committee (RSDC) – Red Team. It was also fun watching the RDC members
participate in the Pinoy Games which followed after the opening program. . .
