RDC Week 2011 Celebration_Tree Planting


RDC XII or the Regional Development Council in Region XII held its annual RDC Week celebration on September 27, 28 and 29, 2011 in Koronadal City, Philippines.  This event was participated in by members of the Council: the heads and staffs of various government agencies and local government units, as well as the private sector representatives.  The celebration was comprised of a motorcade, tree planting, opening ceremony with executive games, friendship games, peoples day (employment, medical, legal services and driving seminar) and closing/cultural/awarding ceremony, all centered on the theme: “Kilos Abante Rehiyon Dose: Tao, Sentro ng Plano”.

Located at about 9 kms from the city proper, Sitio Dungan Lahek in Barangay Saravia, Koronadal City was chosen as the site for the RDC XII tree planting activity.  And about 700 meters from the national highway junction, participants walked toward an elementary school compound where they converge for a short activity program and briefing.  The four major Committees afterward went planting trees at their respective designated areas up on the hills of Sitio Dungan Lahek. . .
